No, it doesn't hurt, but in the week leading upto, and during periods some women get stomach, back and/or kidney cramps. These are called dysmenorrhoea (sounds serious? Well, really they're just period pains!).

How do you change them silently? Good question, and not always an easy feat, especially to begin with - you always think that people are listening, but to be honest most are either too busy with what they are doing, or are trying to work out how to the same thing!

If you think that the ripping noise that the towel makes when it comes of your knickers will be heard a good tactic is to get everything ready, an then flush the chain, and rip and stick on the new one and throw the old one away while the noise is still going on - works a dream! I used to know someone who took a mate in with her, and made her friend stand with the handdryer on while she went to the loo! 

At the end of the day though, to be honest, nobody really cares what anyone else is doing on the toilet! Reply
