Please understand that the replies given here on Ask Cookie are the opinions and suggestions of the team. They are our, and sometimes our user's words of advice, given as people who want to help you. 

It also important that you understand that replies will not be instantaneous. If there will be a long period when there will be no updating we will always try to let you know, but in system failure this is not always possible. Be patient with us, please, and we will do our very best to help you.

Please make your entries appropriate. A lot of the issues we deal with are quite sensitive, and if this is the case please try to word them in a way that will not offend other users. In some cases we let messages with sensitive content through, because they are relevant to the subject, but mark them with a symbol.

Be aware that sometimes we edit posts when we put them up on the site. This includes spelling corrections, and lengthening of abbreviations, but may remove some of the unnecessary content, while keeping the point of the post.

We will e-mail a copy of what will be posted onto the site to you before we post it.

Keep your identity confidential. We will not post anyone's full name on the site. ideally, it is best if you submit your entries under an alias (a pretend name), or just using your first name, or 'Anon[ymous]'. 

When replying to comments:

Title your message as something appropriate, so it gets passed o nto the write people - for example, 'Your Problems'.

Please put the title of the thread you are replying to in your e-mail.

Please be respectful to other visitors, when commenting on posts. Please no swearing or spamming. Please be careful with your sarcastic comments, as although they may be funny, they may hurt other user's feelings!
