Avoiding Sunburn
- Wearing tons of
the right sunscreen lotion and re-applying it regularly, and after getting
wet.
- Drinking plenty
of water
- Wearing light
clothes
- Using UV
sunglasses and lip balm if you want.
- Being careful –
you can get sunburn during winter especially if you are somewhere snowy
- Sit under a tree
between 11 and 3
- Slop on the cream
- slip on a
shirt
- slap on the
hat

- I’ve already got sunburn!

- Cool the area by sponging with cold water.
- Put on ‘after sun
cream’ or ‘calamine lotion’. Make sure that the aftersun you use has moisturiser
in it.
- STAY IN THE SHADE.
- Don’t pop any
blisters
- Drink plenty of
water
- Take paracetamol
for the pain
- Reorganise your plans so you’re not out in the sun.
- If the burn’s
over a very large area see a doctor.
