Ureaplasma Urealyticum

Pronounced: "Ur-rea-plazma Ur-ree-al-it-i-cum"

Symptons:

Sometimes none. 

Girls: increased vaginal discharge, frequent or painful weeing, pain during sex, stomach pain, irregular periods. 

Boys: discharge from the penis, pain/burning on weeing.



How is it passed on?

Unprotected sex or oral sex with an infected person.



Long Term Effects

Girls: pelvic inflammatory disease, fertility problems, chronic (long-term) pelvic pain.


Boys: possible infection in the testicles.
