Scabies
What are scabies?
Scabies are caused by tiny mites or lice. In scabies the mites can
occur in any part of the body, but are often seen under the skin in creases such
as under the arms, underneath the buttocks, on the hands and wrists, or on the
genitals.
How are they passed on?
Scabies is passed on through
close physical skin contact. It can also be sexually transmitted, but this is
less common.
Signs and symptoms
Itchy rash on hands, wrists, elbows, armpits, abdomen, breasts, genitals and buttocks.

Term effects
None
following treatment, but it's a good idea to have another check-up to make sure
the scabies is gone.
