Problems Solved

6) Help, I'm Bullied Georgie

There is this girl at who is friends with the same people I am. She ignores me and gets my friends to gang up on me. My best friend thinks it is my fault that I am unhappy, she thinks this girl is wonderful and would never hurt a fly, but it is untrue. She bullies me every day at school. I told my parents and talked to the school but she gets away with it. I have no one else at school to hang out with because I don't fit in any of the groups of friends. I thought it was me that was the problem but I found out she did it lots of people too. I am so unhappy about being bullied I want to kill myself.  Reply

Try talking to the bullies. It may sound daft, but they may think they are being harmless, and not realising how much they are hurting you. 'It's just a laugh' has stretched a lot in the past few years, and most of the 'laughs' aren't actually funny at all, in my experience, especially if they're at your expense. If you've spoken to the school and they've done nothing then see how it goes. If it gets worse, and the school still don't do anything you can report it to the LED.

Remember - The school has an obligation to protect you against bullies. Make your voice heard; they have to listen. You have a right to feel safe and happy at school. Reply
