4)  Only read this if you are serious Problem 

I haven't started my period yet but I keep nicking my mums tampons and using them because it makes me feel grown up. I know it's stealing, but everyone else in my class has started but not me. Please help me, do you think what I'm doing is disgusting or can you help. Please reply asap, Love Problem Reply

Who cares if everyone else has started? To be honest, I expect a few of them wish that they hadn't, and other still probably think that you're lucky that you still haven't - being an early or late starter isn't any better or worse than starting at any other time. Periods can be a big hassle, and to be honest you aren't missing anything. You don't have to worry about wearing skirts or pale colours, or playing sport or going swimming - you've got it lucky girl, make the best of it while you can! Reply

It's mainly because of toxic shock syndrome (TSS), because if you aren't bleeding then you aren't going to change it as often as you would if you were, and so it puts you at greater risk. Reply

It's a risk, you can get TSS and it hurts like hell to take out a dry tampon. Reply

What you're doing isn't disgusting, I know how you feel. I was the last one to start in my 'group'. Up until then the only thing I wanted was to start but now that I HAVE I regret wanting to! Periods are a pain in the neck but every girl wants to start when their friends do. Don't worry I'm sure it wont be long till it happens to you...give it time.  Reply

Don't worry about not starting your periods, I started earlier then my mates. If someone asks if you have started then say yes. And there is no point in stealing your mum's tampons! Reply

You shouldn't nick your Mum's tampons because if you don't have your periods they can make you very ill. I've started an seriously it's poo! I know before you wish you had started but really its horrid. I bet some of your mates wont have started either, don't worry! Reply
