Periods can start any time between 9
and 18, but they usually start about a year after you breasts start to develop.
Some women get stomach, back or kidney
cramps during their periods (the medical name is dysmenorrhoea - what a long
word, but sounds serious, doesn't it?!). Some also suffer PMT which is a few
minor symptoms on the lead-up week, and more tummy pains and headaches (great!).
But all of these can be solved with a painkiller and some moping around!
